Hey thanks for the initiative. I submitted my info this past Friday. Wondering when the result would be published. I noticed that a previous discussion said the results will be distributed over the weekend so just want to check in. Thanks.
I didn't get the email with matches for Round 3 and I'm pretty sure I signed up before the deadline. Did I mess up my registration or are they still going out?
Hi there, we just sent out the last of the matches last night, so you should have received them now! If not, please reach out to us at admin@mbablindlove.com or send us a chat via this website.
Hi there - the Round 2 was a typo. We do the matching by orientation - if you intended to be matched with females, you may have filled the form incorrectly in the "interested in" field.
I just got matches for the next round and I’m male and all my matches say male (this is new for it to say) with the emails looking like they could belong to guys or girls. did this happen to others? The email also said round 2
Hi there, this actually was intentional due to the uneven number of males and females - we unfortunately had to give some more matches than others to include everyone in the process and make the math work.
Hi there! Yes, we will send out a new sign-up form later next week for Round 3. We will be asking everyone to sign up for every round so that we can ensure that everyone is an active participant.
Hi there! We're sending them out in batches over the weekend - google only lets us send emails to 500 external recipients a day, so we have to do it with waiting in between.
Not sure what the matching algorithm is, but if it's possible to get more variety in where people are in school, that would be amazing. (Not that Yale isn't great...)
Hi there, you are randomly matched across the schools so the likelihood of getting 5 matches all from the same school are pretty low. How weird that it happened!
For those of us getting matches who are both men and women, it would be nice if you told us the gender of the match - it's not necessarily obvious from these identity hiding emails. This affects how I would reach out and respond.
Hi there, we are holding off on allowing entries from other schools, partly because of the sheer number of responses we have already (did you know Google only lets you send 2000 emails a day, even for business customers? We didn’t either, until we tried with the matches!). There is also some element of just wanting to make sure that those in the pool are reasonably similar in terms of demographics (as the bschool demographic is), as we are not at the moment collecting demographic information.
Would it be possible to have a checklist instead of selecting one city post-grad? It can be a bit difficult for first year MBA students to know for sure where we're targeting, and I'm open to more than one in the list.
Hi there! Thanks for this! It's more that we actually have an uneven number of males and females, so the matching can be a little awkward if we tried to include everyone. We might try and experiment with providing some people with more matches than others to try and make sure that everyone has at least one for next week.
Good Post
Any chance you can avoid matches with people from the same school? (for the smaller schools at least) I've gotten matched with my friends haha
Thanks!

Hi there! This has been so much fun--thank you! Are you doing round 5 submissions? The form is locked. Thank you!

Any chance that you can include an option to exclude being matched with someone from your own school?
Any chance you could incorporate age range into the algorithm? One of my matches is 10 years younger than me!
I never got the email with the matches
Just FYI your script seems to have gotten messed up this round -- I personally got four matches and a friend got ten (and is overwhelmed, haha)

Will there be a chance to sign up for Round 3 if we missed Round 2 and didn't get Round 1 matches?
When do the R2 matches go out? Almost feels like waiting for admission decisions 🤣

Hi! Is there any way we can include other (non-bschool) graduate schools?
Hi there! Great idea - we'll definitely include that for Round 3!
Thanks for doing this! It would be great if there were a way to match based on what city you'll be in next year - whether that's school or graduating.
